About me

Hello there, my name is Rob and I am a qualified counsellor. I have been supporting people as a counsellor for over 4 years, having decided to start training to give anyone out there who feels that there is no one to listen an ear. In this busy and ever-changing world it can be hard to find the time to talk about your struggles, and it has always been my aim to provide support and compassion amid the busy events of day to day life.

My therapeutic approach

I adopt an integrative approach to psychotherapy, which utilises a blended combination of person centred, attachment, and cognitive behavioural therapy modalities. In short this gives me the ability to adapt seamlessly within sessions to take an empathic and compassionate approach, in line with a more challenging and structured element. All of this is possible alongside the flexibility of exploring your entire lifespan in context with the struggles you are bringing to therapy.

Qualifications and training

I have a Master’s Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of people in my career, and have a wide range of experience supporting various mental health struggles. I have particular experience working within an Eating Disorder setting, which has also involved addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, Trauma, OCD, and struggles with self-esteem and confidence. My clients have always stated that they feel heard and able to express their more difficult internal thoughts and emotions within our sessions.

Professional body membership

I am a registered member of the British Association of for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and bound by their code of ethics for standard practice in counselling. I also work closely with my clinical supervisor.
