About me

I’m Regina, a student counsellor, and I’m currently based in London. I'm in my final year of re-training as a counsellor after almost a decade working in Human Resources. My professional and lived experiences mean I understand the impact a person’s professional life may have on their personal relationships. I’ve also lived in a host of countries including Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Mexico and Spain and thus offer therapy in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

My therapeutic approach

I use an integrative approach, meaning I will tailor tools depending on your specific needs. I work relationally and focus on the narratives we have around our bodies and our relationships. Much of my work is informed by Attachment Theory and Transactional Analysis. I understand the importance of creating an open and supportive space where you can explore, question and grow. In our sessions we might explore dreams, fantasies and importantly, the different parts of ourselves and how they impact our relationships. For more information on Attachment Theory and Transactional Analysis , please see our Guide to Therapeutic Approaches.

Qualifications and training

I am currently working towards a Level 7 diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy in affiliation with Middlesex University. I currently hold a Foundation Certificate in Integrative Counselling as well as an MA in Human Resources and a BA(Hons) in European Studies and Modern Languages.   My expertise is working with clients experiencing relationship and/or sexual difficulties. My expertise lies in working with intercultural relationships, boundaries, sexual pain as well as other relationship and sex issues; specifically, those that are GSRD related. Much of my work is with LGBTQIA+ clients, clients with sexual difficulties and also clients who are living with HIV.

Professional body membership

I'm a student member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and the National Council of Psychotherapists (NCP) and am bound by their code of ethics for standard practice in counselling. I also work closely with my clinical supervisor at all times.
