About me

Reading books and walking in nature are my go-to activities and help me to keep well when life gets stressful. Before undertaking the journey to become a counsellor I have worked in international account management and retail. I’ve been on my own journey ‘to the depths’ and know first-hand the profound effects counselling can have on our lives. I have experience in supporting clients with a wide range of issues including abuse, trauma, post traumatic stress (PTSD), self-harm, depression and anxiety, grief and loss.

My therapeutic approach

My therapeutic approach is an integrative one, blending aspects of Attachment Theory, The Person Centred Approach and CBT. Working this way allows for us to adapt to your individual needs in a very effective way. I can offer a warm and supportive environment in which you can explore whatever is going on for you. For more information on CBT, please see our Guide to Therapeutic Approaches.

Qualifications and training

I have a postgraduate diploma in integrative counselling and psychotherapy and am currently working towards the Masters Degree.

Professional body membership

I am a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to their code of ethics for standard practice in counselling. I also work closely with my clinical supervisor at all times.
